Quick answer
How to cancel Canva
Cancel through whoever bills you:
- Canva: Settings → Billing → Cancel plan, then finish the cancellation prompts.
- Apple: Open iPhone or iPad Settings → tap your name at the top → Subscriptions → Canva → Cancel Subscription.
- Google Play: Open the Play Store app → tap your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Canva → Cancel subscription. Follow the prompts to finish.
Find out who bills your Canva subscription
Check your billing email or purchase receipt before choosing a cancellation method. The device you use for designing doesn't necessarily tell you where you subscribed.
| Who bills you | Where to cancel |
|---|---|
| Canva directly | Your Canva account settings |
| Apple | Apple subscriptions on your iPhone or iPad |
| Google Play | Your Google Play subscriptions |
For example, if you use Canva on an iPhone but subscribed on Canva's website, follow the direct Canva instructions. MacBook and other laptop users should also choose by billing provider. Apple provides device-specific cancellation instructions for subscriptions it bills.
If you're considering disabling a PayPal automatic payment, read the PayPal FAQ before treating that action as cancellation.
Some third-party apps in Canva's Apps Marketplace may have their own paid subscriptions. If your charge is for one of these apps, you may need to cancel its subscription separately from your Canva plan. See how to contact the app's developer.
Cancel your Canva subscription through your billing provider
If Canva bills you directly
Sign in to the Canva account and team with the plan you want to cancel. Follow the steps below to cancel through Canva's website. This example uses a Canva Pro trial from October 1, 2026. Your plan, dates, pricing and screens may differ.
Desktop browser
Select your account profile on the homepage, then open Settings.
Open Billing, find your plan and select Cancel plan.
Select Continue cancellation.
Choose a reason, then select Continue cancellation again.
Finish any remaining cancellation prompts. If you see Cancel subscription, select it to finish.
Once Canva displays Your subscription has been canceled, cancellation is complete. Any feedback form shown afterward is optional.
Mobile browser
The cancellation flow is similar to desktop, but the mobile menus may look different.
- Sign in to the Canva account and team with the plan you want to cancel.
- On the homepage, tap Menu.
- Tap your account profile, then select Settings.
- Tap Menu again.
- Select Billing.
- Find your plan and select Cancel plan.
- Select Continue cancellation.
- Choose a reason, then select Continue cancellation again.
- If Canva asks for an explanation, you can add one or skip it.
- Finish the remaining prompts. Select Cancel subscription if shown, then check the cancellation confirmation.

If Apple bills you on iPhone or iPad
For a Canva subscription purchased through Apple:
- Open your device's Settings.
- Tap your name at the top.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Select the Canva subscription.
- Tap Cancel Subscription. You may need to scroll down to find it.
- Complete any confirmation prompts to finish cancellation.
Apple says that if there is no Cancel button or you see an expiration message in red, the subscription is already canceled. That status applies to Apple's subscription screen. Source: Apple.
If Canva isn't listed, check which Apple Account appears on your receipt. A subscription under another account won't appear under the account you're currently viewing. If the receipt belongs to a family member, that person needs to cancel it.

If Google Play bills you on Android
Use the Google account that purchased the Canva subscription:
- Open the Google Play Store app on your Android device.
- Tap your profile icon at the top right.
- Tap Payments & subscriptions.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Select the Canva subscription.
- Tap Cancel subscription.
- Choose your reason for canceling if asked.
- Complete the final cancellation prompt.
If Canva isn't listed, tap your Play Store profile icon and check your other Google accounts. Use the account that purchased the subscription, which may differ from your Canva login. Source: Google Play.

Cancel a Canva free trial before it renews
Use the cancellation route for the provider that holds your trial.
For a trial started directly through Canva, complete cancellation before the trial ends. Canva's billing terms say it charges the next subscription fee at the end of the trial unless you cancel beforehand. Act early rather than relying on an assumed local-midnight cutoff.
For an Apple-billed trial, Apple says to cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. That is Apple's requirement, not a universal cutoff for every Canva billing route.
There is also a payment-details distinction: Canva says a trial started without providing payment details ends automatically without a charge. Check that condition before assuming it applies to your trial. Source: Canva's charge guidance.
If you've already received a renewal charge, you can still follow the cancellation steps and request a refund review. Approval is conditional.
Confirm the cancellation and check what happens next
Canva sends a confirmation email when you cancel a plan billed directly by Canva. Save it for your records. If it doesn't arrive, check your plan status in Settings → Billing.
In Settings → Billing, look for Access ends on. You can keep using Pro features until that date.
For example, if your canceled trial shows October 2, 2026, your Pro access ends that day and the trial won't renew into a paid subscription. A canceled paid plan also stays available until its current billing period ends, without renewing. Canva's cancellation FAQs.
Afterward, you can still access your account and designs on Canva Free.
If you're canceling Canva Teams or Business
When you cancel Canva Teams or Business, your team moves to Canva Free. Your designs, Brand Kit content and shared folders remain, but paid features end when the billing period finishes. Canva's cancellation FAQs.
Canceling Canva Teams is permanent: Canva says you can't resubscribe to Teams afterward. Check the Teams FAQ before canceling.
What to check if you can't cancel or you're still being charged
Can't find your Canva subscription?
Check your receipt or billing email to see which account and provider you used:
- Canva: Check your other email addresses and switch to the team with the paid plan.
- Apple: Check the Apple Account shown on your receipt.
- Google Play: Check your other Google accounts in the Play Store.
If Apple or Google Play bills you, cancel through that provider instead of Canva's settings. Canva's troubleshooting guide.
Can't finish cancellation?
Open Canva support and select Get help if shown. Explain which step failed and include any error message.
Can't sign in?
Open Canva's login help and select the issue that matches your problem.
Still being charged after cancellation?
Check whether cancellation went through and whether another Canva account still has an active subscription. If Apple or Google Play bills you, check the subscription status with that provider. Canva's cancellation troubleshooting.
If you still can't explain the charge, contact Canva support. Include:
- The charge date and amount.
- Your Canva invoice number, Apple receipt ID or Google order number.
- Any email addresses you may have used for Canva.
If you have a cancellation confirmation, you can attach it too. Canva's charge guidance.
You paused the plan but want to stop renewal
A pause is temporary. Canva says a paused plan resumes automatically after three months, with reminders before it resumes. Source: Canva's pause guidance.
If cancellation fails while you're dealing with a paused plan, describe the error to official support. Don't assume you must unpause the plan or accept another charge before asking for help.
The charge is for an app inside Canva
Some apps inside Canva have their own subscriptions, separate from your Canva plan. If your receipt names one of these apps, follow these steps on desktop to find its developer and ask about cancellation:
- Sign in to Canva.
- Open an existing design to enter the editor.
- Select Apps in the editor's side panel.
- Search for the app named on your receipt.
- Select the app to open it.
- Open the app's More menu.
- Check Created by to see who made the app.
- If another developer is listed, select Get help with this app to ask how to cancel its subscription.
- If it says Created by Canva, contact Canva support.
These steps help you find the right support contact. Canceling your Canva plan may not cancel a separate app subscription. Canva's app search guide and app-support guidance.
Request a refund if you've already been charged
Canceling a renewal and requesting money back are separate actions. Use the provider that handled the purchase for your refund request.
Canva-billed charges
Canva says subscriptions generally aren't refundable, but it reviews refund requests and may make exceptions depending on the situation. Use its subscription refund guidance and official support.
Explain the real reason for your request and identify the charge. Include the relevant invoice, date, amount and account details. A forgotten trial or unused subscription does not guarantee approval.
Apple-billed charges
Canva says Apple handles refunds for App Store subscriptions. To request one:
- Sign in to Report a Problem.
- Choose Request a refund.
- Select your reason and continue.
- Choose the subscription or charge and submit the request.
Apple says to allow 24–48 hours for an update. If approved, funds may take additional time to return. If the charge is still pending, wait for the receipt before requesting the refund. Source: Apple's refund instructions.
See our Apple refund guide for the full steps and how to check your request's status.
Google Play-billed charges
Follow Google Play's refund policy for apps and subscriptions.
Within 48 hours of a purchase, a refund may be available depending on the circumstances. After 48 hours, Google directs you to the developer to discuss purchase issues and refund eligibility under its policies and applicable law. Neither route guarantees approval.
Our Google Play refund guide includes the request steps and a copyable email template for contacting the app developer.
If Canva approves your refund
Canva lists these processing times for approved refunds:
| Payment method | Processing time |
|---|---|
| Credit card | 5–10 business days |
| PayPal | 3–5 business days |
| Other payment methods | Up to 20 business days |
These are Canva's published processing times, not Apple's or Google Play's timelines. An approval message and money arriving in your account can happen at different times. If the wait exceeds the relevant provider's guidance, follow up with the refund confirmation and charge details.
Frequently asked questions
How do I stop Canva from charging me again?
Cancel your subscription through whoever bills you: Canva, Apple or Google Play. Follow the steps for your billing provider and make sure cancellation is confirmed.
Can I get a refund if I forgot to cancel Canva?
You can request a refund, but approval isn't guaranteed. Cancel the subscription to stop future renewals, then request a refund from the provider that charged you. If Canva billed you directly, it generally doesn't refund subscriptions, but it may make an exception.
Will I lose my designs if I cancel Canva Pro?
No. Your account and designs remain on Canva Free. You can keep using Pro features until your current billing period ends, but those paid features won't remain available afterward. Canva's cancellation FAQs.
Does uninstalling Canva cancel a Google Play subscription?
No. Google says uninstalling an app does not cancel its subscription. Complete the cancellation through Google Play instead. Source: Google Play.
Does removing PayPal cancel my Canva subscription?
Stopping a PayPal automatic payment typically does not cancel the underlying service contract. Finish cancellation with the service and keep its confirmation.
If you also want to manage the automatic payment, use PayPal's official instructions. PayPal explains the distinction between stopping a payment and canceling the service in its recurring-payments guide.
Can I resubscribe to Canva Teams after canceling?
Canva's current guidance says that once you cancel a Canva Teams plan, you cannot resubscribe to Teams. That statement is specific to Teams. Source: Canva.
If you may need the plan again, review Canva's pause option and its conditions before deciding. Pausing is not available for subscriptions through the iOS App Store.
Keep your cancellation confirmation and access end date together. If a charge remains unexplained, contact the billing provider's official support with the matching receipt.
